What should I expect during treatment?

This procedure requires little to no downtime and can be customized to go deeper into the skin where damage requires a more aggressive approach to treatment. The forehead and bridge of the nose tend to be the most sensitive areas, but for the most part, you’ll just feel small vibrations and find this treatment very comfortable. Numbing is provided during your procedure, so you won’t feel the actual needles.

After the treatment is over, your face will be pink or red (comparable to a slight sunburn) and you may want to lie low the rest of the day. By the following morning, you can return to your routine and use a gentle cleanser, SPF and even apply a little makeup. Usually, multiple treatments are necessary to achieve the best results with Microneedling. The number of sessions you will need depends on your skin condition, and your Provider will create a treatment plan tailored specifically for you. Three or four treatments are usually recommended for mild to moderate acne scarring, whereas deeper scars and stretch marks may require five or more treatments.
